The working principle of
Cummins generator setspeed controller is to achieve precise control of the generator set by real-time monitoring and feedback of the generator set speed, ensuring the stable operation of the generator set and the quality of the output power. The speed controller adopts advanced electronic control technology, which can automatically adapt to different working environments and load changes, and has high reliability and stability.
The specific working process of the speed controller includes the following aspects:
1. Speed control: When the power is turned on, the control power controls the actuator through the speed control board. When operating the start switch and starting the diesel engine, control the power supply to make the starter motor work, and at the same time open the solenoid valve to turn on the fuel switch. After the diesel engine is started, the operation switch is reset, the control power of the starting motor is cut off, and the power supply of the fuel solenoid valve is controlled by the overspeed control board, high water temperature sensor, and low oil pressure sensor to keep the fuel solenoid valve working, causing the diesel engine to operate normally.
2. Idle speed adjustment: When adjusting the idle speed, short-circuit the M and G terminals on the speed control board, and the unit speed will decrease to the factory set idle speed. Then adjust the IDLE potentiometer. Rotate it clockwise to accelerate, and counterclockwise to decelerate. Adjust it to the desired idle speed.
3. Overspeed protection: The speed control board with overspeed protection function will have two relay alarm outputs, one normally open and one normally closed. These points can be connected to the throttle solenoid valve of the unit or the relay that controls the solenoid valve.
4. Start oil quantity and speed ramp adjustment: When adjusting, first turn STARTING FUEL clockwise to the maximum and SPEED RAMPING counterclockwise to the minimum. After starting the unit normally, adjust the idle speed. If the idle speed is abnormal, adjust the GAIN and STABILITY potentiometers. After adjustment, turn the STARTING FUEL potentiometer counterclockwise until there is a noticeable sudden decrease in the unit's speed, and then turn it clockwise to the idle speed that was just running.
5. Speed regulation adjustment: Prepare a load sufficient to meet the full load requirements of the unit. If the accuracy requirement for adjusting the speed is not high, simply short-circuit the K and L terminals and adjust the DROOP potentiometer counterclockwise by one eighth turn, and the speed control board will have a speed control rate.
The function of the speed controller in the generator set is to ensure stable output and high-quality power of the generator set. By real-time monitoring and feedback of speed, the controller can automatically adjust the operating status of the diesel engine, adapt to different working environments and load changes, thereby extending the service life of the generator set and improving its operating efficiency.
